Lisa Stuppy, DirectorAfter spending some time in the flatlands of the Midwest (Purdue University), Lisa joined the Campus Recreation Staff in 2001. Lisa has completed degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise and Sports Studies and has been in the fitness and recreation industries since the ripe age of 17. As Director, Lisa oversees the areas of Fitness, Wellness, Aquatics and Informal Recreation. She has strong ties to NIRSA (National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association) and regularly serves on planning and development committees for that organization. If Lisa could be a professional in any sport, it would be surfing!

Rene' Delaney, Office Manager
Rene' Delaney became a part of the Campus Recreation Staff in February of 2004. She has worked at Boise State for over 22 years and loves working with all of the students and staff at Campus Recreation. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, spending time with her husband Jim, and doing genealogy research.

John Griffiths, Business Manager
John completed his degree in business administration from the University of Iowa in 1981 and moved to Idaho in 1982 where he has worked in the public accounting, food and beverage, engineering and construction industries. John and his wife Robyn enjoy many of the outdoor activities Idaho has to offer, whitewater rafting, backpacking, skiing and hiking in the Boise foothills. When he was an impulsive college student he jumped out of an airplane twice and hasn't done it since.

Linda worked 30 years in the financial field prior to joining the staff in 2004. Linda enjoys traveling and spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren.

Geoff Harrison, Associate Director - Education
Geoff has been working in the field of recreation for over 20 years and has been fostering student development at Boise State University since 1998. He oversees the operations for the Outdoor Program and Cycle Learning Center, and serves as the coordinator for the University Housing Lifetime Recreation Living Learning Community. Geoff is an active member of the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education and has served both as a board member and interim national director. He earned an undergraduate degree in Recreation Administration from Humboldt State University and Master's of Sport and Recreation Management from the University of Idaho.

Heather Carlson, Coordinator - Promotions
Heather joined the staff after spending several years working at a local advertising agency. She is a Boise State alumnus earning her undergraduate degree in Graphic Design and Marketing in 2005. While at Boise State, Heather was a member of several Intramural Championship teams and the Club Softball team. Heather is currently continuing her education at Boise State by pursuing a Master's in Communication. She is also a recipient of the 2010 Idaho Business Review's Accomplished Under 40 Award.

Deanna Uyeki, Coordinator - Web
Dee began her career at Boise State University as a student in 1999. She has just recently become full time. She loves working out and taking all of the classes at the Student Recreation Center, but Bootcamp is her favorite. She plays drums, likes to eat, and have Sushi day at the Rec. Dee is majoring in Biochemistry.

Facilities
John Lloyd, Associate Director, OperationsJohn begins his 7th year at Boise State. Originally from California, John came to Boise after earning his Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Ball State University. He oversees the operations of Recreation Services and Health Services. This includes daily operations, routine maintenance, capital projects, and risk management. In his spare time, John enjoys golfing, jogging, snowboarding, and crafting some pretty good beer. John has two dogs, Rico and Lady, who tend to keep him quite busy.

Glenn DeSpain, Facility Maintenance Foreman
Glenn joined the Recreation Center staff in 2005.He has been in the maintenance field since 1988. He is our "Facility Maintenance Foreman". He spends most of his time keeping the Rec Center looking new. You break it, and he fixes it. He is also in charge of our award winning facility crew. Glenn has been a foster parent since 1995, and has been touched by the lives of many of the young children in the Treasure Valley. Glenn has 4 kids of his own. In his spare time he can be found running them to and from music lessons and sports fields. "Spare time, yeah right."

Jimmie Mays, Custodian
Jimmie has been here for as he puts it, "quite some time." He grew up in Idaho and began working at Campus Recreation as a student seeking a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Now a graduate of Boise State University, Jimmie is also a husband and father of two to Henry and Katherine. He not only loves Boise State, but also his job!

Allison Straker, Custodian
Allison started off working as a student at Campus Recreation in 2005 while working on her Bachelor's of Science in Biology. She enjoys her job and continues to educate herself at Boise State. She spends most of her time outside of work camping with her family and dogs as well as fine-tuning her guitar playing skills.

Dave, a native of Montana, has lived in the Boise area since 2001 and joined the Rec Staff in July of 2010. Dave has interests in art and music, is married with four children and two grandchildren.

Ian Swoboda, Graduate Assistant - Operations
Ian serves as a Graduate Assistant for University Health and Recreation. He helps to oversee the operations of the Recreation Center. Prior to beginning at Boise State in 2011, he earned his bachelor of science in sports administration. Currently, he is pursuing a masters in kinesiology in behavioral studies.

Fitness and Aquatics Programs
Cala Sielaff, Assistant Director - Fitness and AquaticsCala joined Campus Recreation in February 2011. She oversees the fitness and aquatics programs, including personal training, group fitness, and instructional offerings. Cala holds her personal training certificate through the American College of Sports Medicine and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Prior to coming to Boise State, she was the Coordinator of Fitness Services at Washington State University. Cala has a master's degree in Sport and Recreation Management from the University of Idaho and an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Oregon State University. Among many of her interests are watching college athletics, playing sports, weight training, and experiencing new things.

Sarah Litowich, Coordinator - Aquatics Program
Sarah joined the team in August 2010 as the first Coordinator for Aquatic Programs where she supervises the lifeguard staff, creates and implements programming, facilitates fun, and keeps people safe in the water. Sarah did her undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of Georgia. At Georgia Sarah received a Bachelors of Arts in Music (classically trained oboista) and a Masters degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies. She has been working within Collegiate recreation for 5 years, starting her career as a lifeguard and working her way up to where she is now. Sarah is proficient in American Sign Language and nannied in Spain for a summer. She also has 2 pieces of bone floating in her right ankle from volleyball accidents that were thought to be sprains...oops.

Alisa Kagukina, Graduate Assistant, Fitness Program
Alisa joined Campus Recreation in August, 2011 as the Graduate Assistant for Fitness Programs. Prior coming to Boise State she was a Fitness Coordinator at the Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA. In addition to that she was a fitness instructor at the YMCA and multiple fitness facilities in Savannah. She holds group fitness and personal trainer certificates through the Aerobic and Fitness Associations of America. She is also certified in YogaFit, Pilates Chair, Kickboxing, Cardio Circuit by Silver Sneakers, and recently Hip-Hop Hustle. Her fitness career started at the recreation center of Armstrong Atlantic State University (Savannah, GA) where she completed her bachelor's degree specializing in Fitness Management. Alisa was a collegiate tennis player and won three National Titles in a row (2008-2010). Tennis has been her passion since she was 10 years old. However she got accidently introduced to the fitness industry during her third year of school and absolutely fell in love with it. "I just love how the fitness industry never stops growing. You can learn something every day and share it with your participants." Working at the different facilities gave her a chance to see many perspectives in this field. With a desire to continue working with students and wanting to continue her education, she came across the United States to Boise State to do her master's degree in Kinesiology and bring her energy into campus recreation. She likes to live her life by challenging herself every day. She loves field flowers and has a collection of little cows.

Rec Sports
Alain Rodrigue, Associate Director - Rec SportsAlain oversees the Intramural and Club Sports programs as well as summer sports and our athletic training services. Prior to joining us in the Fall of 2003, Alain was a coordinator for the Idaho Youth Sports Association. After completing his Master's of Sport and Exercise Studies at Boise State in 2001, Alain was a Fitness Facility Director for a community center in upstate New York. Alain obtained his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Saint Cloud State University in 1997. Upon graduation, Alain was a full time personal trainer and health instructor. Alain spends most of his time off coaching or officiating lacrosse and recreating outdoors. Alain married in the summer of 2010. He, Amy and their happy go lucky dog Mia love white water rafting.

Jared Cox, Coordinator - Intramural Sports
Jared has been with Campus Rec for two years. Before joining the department, he completed a two-year graduate assistantship with Recreation Services at Illinois State University while also achieving his Master's degree in Recreation Administration. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Programming from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006. In his free time, he enjoys golf, softball, and the occasional house project.

Andy Chorn, Coordinator - Injury Prevention and Care
Andy is a late addition to the Campus Recreation staff. He and his staff at Rec Response will be in charge of providing athletic training coverage to Club Sports as well as First Aid and emergency coverage to intramural sports. Andy will also oversee the clinical hours of Rec Response which is open to all Campus Recreation members. Additionally he will provide rehabilitation services to University Health Services referral patients. Andy enjoys working with students and hopes he can help build a positive learning experience for those choosing careers in the health care field. He has recently spent the last two years serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Boise State University. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from Boise State University and is currently finishing up a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration. Andy and his wife, Asher, enjoy many outdoor activities together such as camping, hunting, hiking, golfing, and skiing. Prior to beginning school at Boise State, Andy worked several years for the Forest Service on the Salmon/Challis National Forest.

Outdoor Programs
Greg Hawkins, Assistant Director - Outdoor ProgramsGreg joined the University Health and Recreation Services staff in the summer of 2011. He oversees the adventure-based experiential programs and custom trips offered by the Outdoor Program. Prior to coming to Boise State University, Greg served for thirteen years directing the Outdoor Adventure Program for Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and two years as the Assistant Director for Wilderness Adventures at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Greg earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX and his master's degree in recreation administration from Georgia Southern University in Statesville, GA

Nicole Gallaher, Coordinator - Outdoor Program
Nicole first came to the Outdoor Program in 2010 to complete her final internship requirements for graduation. She has a B.S. in Recreation and Park Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. After completing her undergrad Nicole stayed in Boise and became the Coordinator in April 2011. In the Red River Gorge Nicole found her passion for climbing and the outdoors. Since coming to Boise she has taken up many new outdoor sports that the area has to offer. When not outside Nicole loves to bake and cook for others! The staff is fairly certain she makes some of the best carrot cake around.
