Wilderness First Responder
Wilderness First Responder is the industry standard for wilderness medical training and is designed specifically to provide you with the tools to make critical emergency care and evacuation decisions in remote locations. The Wilderness First Responder course has been designed specifically to meet the needs of wilderness guides, expedition leaders, outdoor instructors, and avid backcountry travelers. It is the course you want your friends to have taken before you travel with them. The course includes WMTC adult CPR & AED certification.
The course is taught in a two-part format. Participants are required to utilize supplied books and electronic media to prepare for an on-line assessment that must be successfully completed prior to the 5-day field course. The two-part format ensures that all participants in the field sessions possess the same baseline of skills and knowledge. All study materials and testing deadlines are provided at the time of registration.
