In this course participants will learn introductory skills necessary to give a relaxing, soothing, therapeutic massage. Topics of discussion will include environmental factors, massage flow and strokes, as well as tissue health.

Reflexology
Regain the health and vitality of your life! Reflexology is a pleasurable way to relieve internal stress on our organs. Participants in this interactive workshop will discuss the history of reflexology, reflexology indications, points and zones, as well as participate in a hands-on session.

Herbology
Herbs are the most captivating and versatile of plants. They are nearly endless for culinary, medicinal, and cosmetic purposes. In this basic herbology class, participants will identify local herbs, explore their helpful properties, and discover ways to cultivate and use them. Aromatherapy
This workshop will educate participants on the powerful connection between aromatherapy and well-being. Skin care, reduction of pain and inflammation by the use of compresses and baths, and balancing of emotional states through inhalation of aromatherapy will be discussed.

Knots and Other Trouble Spots
This highly interactive workshop is designed to instruct participants on massage and relaxation techniques that may be applied to specific areas of the body that are more prone to pain. Participants will learn to reduce pain by the introduction of trigger point therapy as a self-care tool for alleviating chronic pain caused by a variety of conditions.
