Facility Reservations

Rental and Retail: Facility Reservations

Reservations for Campus Recreation facilities are handled through the Administrative Office. Restrictions may apply; please contact Campus Recreation staff for specific policies and procedures at (208) 426-5641.

In order to support the programming philosophy, the following priorities will be used in developing and scheduling activities in the Student Recreation Center. All activities must be appropriate to the facility; Campus Recreation staff will approve the supervision requirements for each activity.

  1. Information Recreation
  2. Fitness classes, Club and Intramural Sports
  3. Kinesiology Courses, Special Events and Rentals

In order to reserve space, please submit the Facility Space Request form to John Lloyd. This can be faxed to (208) 426-5642 or e-mailed to johnlloyd1@boisestate.edu.

Campus Recreation Student Organization Facility Reservation Policy

Campus Recreation allows recognized student organizations to reserve the Group Exercise Studio or Multi-Purpose #1 in the Student Recreation Center. Reservations are limited to no more than three (3) days per week, and two (2) hours per reservation. Reservations must be made no less than 24 hours in advance, but no more than one week in advance. Each student organization must select one person to be the contact person for all reservations (typically the president of the club/organization). Reservations must be made via e-mail directly to John Lloyd at johnlloyd1@boisestate.edu. Drop in or phone requests are not accepted. Reservation requests are made on a first come, first served basis.

Reservations must include an up-to-date student organization roster with the name, birthday, and ID# of each member. All participants must have a waiver on file with Campus Recreation. All participants must bring their ID card for entry into the facility. For those participants who are not members of Campus Recreation, they must check in/out at the Service Desk before and after every reservation. Campus Recreation reserves the right to charge a reduced guest pass fee of $2 for non-members during recognized reservations. If an organization does not have an official reservation, all non-Campus Recreation members must pay the full $5 guess pass fee.

The room will be unlocked for the reservation by the Facility Manager on duty. Organization members are not permitted to check out keys to any Campus Recreation facility. Also, student organizations are not permitted to use any equipment (heavy bags, televisions, fitness equipment, stereo, etc.) without prior approval from John Lloyd. Unless prior notice is given, all age restrictions for the Student Recreation Center are enforced during facility reservations. If a group needs to have children in the facility, this must be discussed ahead of time. Access for children is restricted to participating members of the practice or activity. Student organization members are not to bring their children if they are not actively participating in the approved activity. Any student organization found in violation of this policy will not be permitted to bring children into the Student Recreation Center for any future reservations.

All cancellations must be made no less than 24 hours in advance. If a student organization reserves space and fails to show up for their reservation they will receive a written warning from Campus Recreation. If the same group fails to show up a second reservation (within the academic school year), they will no longer be permitted to reserve space for the remainder of the semester or three months (whichever is longer). Reservations are to be used for the entire club, not one or two individuals. Due to the high demand for space in the Student Recreation Center, personal reservations are not permitted. If a student organization reserves space, but uses the facility for personal use, the entire student organization will no longer be permitted to reserve space for the remainder of the academic year.
