Jenny Nigrini, DirectorJenny completed degrees in geology and biomechanics before finding her true calling in Recreation. After completing an Assistantship at the University of Oregon, she came to Boise State in 1996 and has done just about everything here except lead a Hip Hop class. She often refers to the Student Recreation Center as The House of Fun.

Rene' Delaney, Office Manager
Rene' Delaney became a part of the Campus Recreation Staff in February of 2004. She has worked at Boise State for over 17 years and loves working with all of the students and staff at Campus Recreation. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, spending time with her husband Jim, and doing genealogy research.

Lisa Stuppy, Associate Director
After spending some time in the flatlands of the midwest (Purdue University), Lisa joined the Campus Recreation Staff in 2001. Lisa has completed degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise and Sports Studies and has been in the fitness industry since the ripe age of 17. She is a certified group exercise instructor through the American Council on Exercise and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. If you're wondering who that is bouncing off the walls in the office...it's probably Lisa!

Linda Fowler, Accountant
Linda worked 30 years in the financial field prior to joining the staff in 2004. Linda enjoys traveling and spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren.

Heather Carlson, Coordinator - Promotions
Heather joined the staff after spending several years working at a local advertising agency and a local tradeshow and exhibit company. She is a Boise State alumnus earning her undergraduate degree in Graphic Design and Marketing in 2005. While at Boise State Heather was a member of several Intramural Championship teams and the Club Softball team. When she is not working or playing at the Rec, she is also the Assistant Varsity Volleyball team at her alma mater, Bishop Kelly High School. Heather also just got married, so if you are looking for Heather Gribble this is her!

Facilities
John Lloyd, Assistant DirectorJohn comes from a land called California. While in California, John attended Cal Poly and earned his degree in Recreation Administration. After fleeing California for fear of earthquakes and fires, he settled in Indiana. There, he attended Ball State and earned a Masters in Sports Administration. In his spare time, John enjoys golfing, jogging, snowboarding, and crafting some pretty good beer. John has two dogs, Rico and Lady, who tend to keep him quite busy.

Glenn DeSpain, Facility Maintenance Foreman
Glenn joined the Recreation Center staff in 2005.He has been in the maintenance field since 1988. He is our "Facility Maintenance Foreman". He spends most of his time keeping the Rec Center looking new. You break it, and he fixes it. He is also in charge of our award winning facility crew. Glenn has been a foster parent since 1995, and has been touched by the lives of many of the young children in the Treasure Valley. Glenn has 4 kids of his own. In his spare time he can be found running them to and from music lessons and sports fields. "Spare time, yeah right."

Gen Ludwig, Coordinator - Injury Prevention and Care
Gen joins us from Auburn, WA where she worked as an Athletic Trainer at Boeing and as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Bellarmine Preparatory High School. Originally from Henderson, NV, Gen attended The University of Montana - Western on a Golf Scholarship and earned her Bachelor of Science in K-12 Physical Education and Health with Emphasis in Sports Medicine in 2003. Upon completion of student teaching, Gen accepted a Graduate Assistantship in Athletic Training at Eastern Oregon University. In 2005, Gen earned a Master of Science degree in Secondary Education with Cognates in Physical Education / Health and Educational Technology.

Jimmy Mays, Custodian
Jim has been here several years. He is formerly a student employee and is working on his bachelor of fine arts. He is expecting a baby in October and really enjoys his job.
Paul Snyder, Custodian
Paul started attending Boise State in 2004 and is pursuing undergraduate degrees in Journalism and philosophy. He started working at the Rec as a student in November 2005 and was promoted to full time in July of 2006. Paul enjoys pool, hacky sack and trivia and was the anchor in the Rec College Bowl team last spring. Not surprising since he was valedictorian of his graduating class!
Fitness Program
Kate Shaine, Assistant Director - Fitness ProgramsKate joined the Campus Rec Staff in 2005. Prior to coming to Boise State, she coordinated the Physical Education Program and worked with several varsity sports at Brown University, in Providence, RI. Kate has a Master's Degree in Athletic Administration and an undergraduate degree in Psychobiology. She loves living in Idaho because of the awesome outdoor opportunities!

Brooke Lester, Graduate Assistant
Brooke has her B.S. in Kinesiology/Exercise Science with a Fitness Evaluation and Programming emphasis. She is currently studying in the Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Studies (MSESS) program with a Biophysical emphasis. Her interests include anything that has to do with exercise and individual training. Brooke plans to get some experience working in research and possibly coaching, and would like to contribute her own research to the body of knowledge, furthering studies in metabolic systems and how this pertains to training. She also plans to earn a PhD but is undecided about her concrete long-term career goals. Brooke has taken an interest in teaching at the University level so will keep that open as an option. She still have some wild oats to sow, so foresee some travel after completing this degree at Boise State and her position here at Campus Recreation.

Lauren Thomas, Graduate Assistant
Lauren is the newest member of the Campus Rec staff and comes from Pendleton, Oregon. Having just completed her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science at Oregon State University, she is now working towards a Master's in Kinesiology here at Boise State. Along with her position as a Graduate Assistant, Lauren is also a group exercise instructor for Campus Recreation. She enjoys all things active and is currently working toward the completion of her fourth marathon. Upon finishing her education, Lauren hopes to work in the area of corporate wellness and nutrition.

Rec Sports
Alain Rodrigue, Assistant Director - Rec SportsPrior to joining us in the Fall of 2003, Alain directed the Idaho Youth Lacrosse program. After completing his Master's of Sport and Exercise Studies at Boise State in 2001, Alain was a Facility Director in upstate New York. Alain obtained his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Saint Cloud State University in 1997. Alain est également fluent dans le Français Québécois.

Jared Cox, Coordinator - Intramural Sports
Jared has recently joined the staff after completing a two-year graduate assistantship with Recreation Services at Illinois State University while also achieving his Master's degree in Recreation Administration. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Programming from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006. In his free time, he enjoys hitting the links or watching baseball.

Outdoor Program
Geoff Harrison, Assistant Director - Outdoor ProgramGeoff has been working in the field of recreation for over 20 years and has been fostering student development with Boise State students since 1998. Geoff is an active member of the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education and has served both as a board member and interim national director. He earned an undergraduate degree in Recreation Administration from Humboldt State University and Master's of Sport and Recreation Management from the University of Idaho.

Mat Erpelding, Coordinator - Outdoor Program
Mat has been teaching, guiding, and learning about outdoor education since 1995. Mat currently teaches wilderness first responders for the Wilderness Medicine Training Center, and expedition courses for the Wilderness Education Association and the American Alpine Institute. Mat is finishing his master's degree in education at the University of Idaho. Of course, when not living in the spacious quarters afforded to him by his van, he can be found scaling peaks and walls with the intent of gazing out over the valley below from a porta-ledge.
