Membership Types and Fees

Aren’t sure about membership yet? A free two-week trial pass is available to try out the Student Recreation Center and associated programs and services. Whether you are faculty, staff, alumni, or part-time student, we would love to have you give us a try. Simply stop by the Student Recreation Center to register for your trial pass.

Summer Memberships

Stay cool this summer at the Recreation Center!  Memberships are included for students with 6+ credits.  Not a student?  No problem – affordable memberships are available for part-time students, faculty and staff on campus, Alumni Association members and more.  Memberships are also available to purchase for the spouse/partner of any member.  Summer Memberships are available for purchase starting Monday, May 7th, 2018.  Summer memberships valid Monday, May 7 – Thursday, August 16.  Summer memberships will be prorated once during the summer.

SUMMER MEMBERSHIP FAQ

I took classes in the fall and spring, but I am not taking classes this summer, do I have to purchase a membership for the summer?

Yes. You will need to purchase a membership for the summer.

I am a new student and I start classes next fall, can I purchase a membership?

It depends, you must have attended a Bronco Venture or Transfer Non-Traditional Orientation prior to purchasing a membership. Access to the facility requires a Boise State ID card, which is not given until orientation.

I am taking classes this summer, do I get access to the Rec?

  • Full-time summer students, taking 6+ credits will have automatic access to the Rec
  • Part-time summer students 5 credits or less, will have to purchase a summer membership.

I am a student from another university, can I purchase a membership to the Rec?

Yes, you can purchase a summer membership to Campus Recreation for the summer at our normal summer rate ($95 for the entire summer).  You will need a valid university ID and school schedule available prior to purchasing a membership.

I am enrolled for Fall 2018. How do I gain access to the Rec this summer?

You may purchase a summer membership for $55.

How much are summer memberships and when can I buy it?

Check our membership rates on our website. May 7th.

I am enrolled for Fall 2018 as a full-time student, when can I use the Rec?

You will have access Friday, August 17th.

What are the summer hours for the facilities?

  • Sunday- Noon-8pm
  • Monday-Friday- 6am-8pm
  • Saturday- 8am-8pm

What are the family summer hours for the facilities?

Family Hours are extended to the rest of the facility.  All dependents must be current members or purchase a $ 6-day pass.

When does my summer membership access end?

August 16th is the last day.

When can I buy my membership for Fall 2018?

August 17th.

What days should I expect the Rec to be closed for summer holidays or maintenance?

  • Monday, May 28th Memorial Day
  • Thursday, May 31st –Sunday, June 3rd Rec Closed for maintenance
  • Wednesday, July 4th
  • Wed. August 15th and Thursday, August 16th, for Staff Training

 

Annual/Semester Membership Fees

Full-time student membership costs are included in student fees paid to Boise State. Those students of part-time status paying into student fees are eligible for the part-time membership rates.  Full time and part time students on a fee waiver that wish to use the Recreation facilities need to purchase a membership. Memberships are available to purchase for part-time students, faculty, staff, alumni, emeriti, associates, affiliates and the spouse/partner of any current Campus Recreation member.

Term membership passes will be prorated October and March. Monday, March 5th is our proration for Spring 2018 Term.

Equipment Orientation and Fitness Introduction

Starting something new can be a challenge and even uncomfortable at times. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to start utilizing all that the Rec has to offer right from the start. Our staff is here to get started. If you’re interested in a complimentary equipment orientation or goal session with one of our fitness staff members we can help get you started.

Refunds

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Tax is not included in membership price.

Forms of Payment

Cash, Discover, Visa, Mastercard, debit cards, and checks are accepted throughout the Student Recreation Center. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

General Guest pass – $6 (tax included)

Members may sponsor up to two guests per visit and be with their guest to check-in at the front desk. New guests will be required to fill out a Guest Day form, returning guests will check-in with our staff. These are available at the Service Desk in the Student Recreation Center for single-day use of the facilities. All guests must have a photo ID upon entrance. Patrons wishing to purchase a guest pass for the pool may do so at the Service Desk at the Student Recreation Center.

Departmental guest passes

Boise State University departments can sponsor guests. Please call (208) 426-5641 at least one week in advance to arrange for the purchase of Departmental Guest Passes.

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)

This service is available for the purchase of alumni, faculty/staff and spouse/partners. All Memberships continue on a monthly basis with a deduction of $29.00 plus tax (Alumni rate) or $24.00 plus tax (Faculty/Staff rate) per month. All EFT memberships require a minimum initial commitment of six months. A cancellation form must be filled out and turned into the staff before the 15th of every month to avoid billing.

Payroll Deduction

This service is available with the purchase of a Boise State University Faculty/Staff membership. Benefit-eligible employees, as well as their spouse/partner and dependents, are eligible for payroll deduction. All Memberships continue on a monthly basis with a deduction of $10.55 plus tax per pay period, per membership. Lockers/towel service may also be added to a payroll deduction for an additional fee.

WINTER MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Winter memberships are included in full-time fee-paying students for Fall term.   Not a student?  No problem – affordable memberships are available for part-time students, faculty and staff on campus, Alumni Association members and more.  Memberships are also available to purchase for the spouse/partner of any member. Winter Memberships are available for purchase starting Friday, Dec. 8, 2017.  Winter memberships valid Dec. 8th – Jan.7, 2018. There are closure dates due to the holidays, Dec.24-26th and Jan. 1st.
