Lay Responder Adult CPR/AED and First Aid

This class gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing emergencies, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Additionally, you will learn the skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness until advanced medical personnel arrive. All participants who pass the class will receive American Red Cross certifications in Adult CPR/AED, and Standard First Aid.

First Aid certification is not available without the CPR/AED certification. CPR/AED certification is not available without the First Aid certification.

Lay Responder Adult CPR/AED and First Aid Review

For participants with a current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. This abbreviated course allows for a review of the material of the above Lay Responder Adult CPR/AED and First Aid with an instructor prior to test out. Participants who do not meet the course requirements for certification will need to enroll in a full course in order to receive certificaiton (refunds will not be given if course requirements are not met).

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid

This course teaches individuals to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants as a Professional Rescuer. Participants will also learn to use an AED and basic First Aid.

Custom Courses

Train your staff, department, organization, or group to respond to emergencies and take care of any situation until professional emergency personnel arrive. To schedule we will need two weeks’ notice and a class size between 4 and 12 participants. To request a class, please complete the Custom Class Request Form. Submission of request form does not constitute scheduled class. Contact aquatics@boisestate.edu for additional questions!

Full refunds will only be issued if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
